Price to know

The currency in Vietnam is the Dong (đ) and notes are in denominations of 1000 with the most common notes being 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, and 500. 500,000 dong is the largest bill available from ATMs (approx. USD 24). 20,000d notes can look similar to 500,000d notes so make sure to look at the size of the bill and organize bills sequentially and be aware of their color. It is illegal to list prices and ask for payment in any currency other than Dong.
